Getting Insight from the big data requires a combination of skill, tools and business acumen. Unfortunately, though the technology has evolved faster, but the gap in the skill required and present for handling big data has widen even faster. Industry needs a large number of skilled resources to fulfil the gap. They need a new group of professionals- the data scientists

A data scientist represents an evolution from the business or data analyst role. The starting point is similar, with a solid foundation typically in computer science and applications, modeling, statistics, analytics and math. What makes data scientist different is strong business acumen, along with an affinity for details and analytic approach. She or he should be able to identify an insight which was not identified before. This provides her organization with a new competitive advantage. This course is meant for the professionals and students alike, who want to venture into the highly rewarded role of data scientist.

Course Content

Course Duration 4 days + test (1 day)
The course will be spread across 4 Saturdays + 1 day for test
Every week there will be mandatory assignment submission
A short out of class project to be submitted with-in 1 month of the course (Mandatory for obtaining Certificate)
